RELEASE TU JAPAN MOVED TO APRIL 6TH DUE TO EARTHQUAKE


Due to the terrible earthquake and unpredictable difficulties, Roadrunner Japan was forced to move all March 23rd releases.

The revised date for “The Unforgiving” will be April 6th”. The standard edition of the Japanese TU release comes with the bonus track “I Don’t Wanna”. The special edition also contains this track as well as “Empty Eyes”.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our fans from Japan, their family and friends and everyone who is affected by this terrible catastrophe.

As you know we always try to make our artwork as elaborate as possible, which of course created big opportunities when we started working on the comic. Comic artist Romano Molenaar, who also drew the scenery and characters of the Unforgiving comic, started working on sketches, which were put in the album artwork later on. The second short film is online now!

We’re excited to reveal the second short film to you, titled “Sinéad”! After having released the first one, “Mother Maiden”, this second short film gives you more insight into the story of The Unforgiving.

As you might know, this short film as well as the other short films and the music videos are featured on the Special Edition of The Unforgiving, which will be released this coming weekend!

This Special Edition also contains the music videos of “Where Is The Edge” and “Utopia” and the names of everyone who joined our Facebook campaign in December 2010. Of course those names are also featured on the special poster in the digipack, as announced earlier. Enjoy!

Make the release date of our new album “The Unforgiving” an unforgettable one by filming this day in your life and compete for a trip to our Terminal 5 show in New York on September 10th!

How does it work?
Make your own one minute short film of the moment you buy the album, listen to it with your friends afterwards, or having your own secret release party. These are just a few examples how you can celebrate the release of the album. It can’t be crazy or funny enough. You may use 60 sec of the new WT songs as a soundtrack of your film.

The most original film on spending the day of “The Unforgiving” release will win a trip to New York where you and 1 friend will visit our concert at Terminal 5 on September 10th. The winning prize includes an economy flight to New York, 2 nights in a hotel and concert tickets including a meet and greet with the band.

Out of all the short films we receive we will choose a large amount of footage we will use for the official “Your Unforgiving Experience” compilation! Make yourself immortal with your short film about your release day of “The Unforgiving”!

Procedure and timing
Upload your movie of max. 1 minute on Youtube. Next send the original video file to us by uploading it to Wetransfer through this link. Very important: mention the Youtube link and your e-mailaddress in the message field! You can upload and submit your short films as of March 25th. The deadline will be April 22nd. After that date no new submissions will be accepted. The winning short film will be announced shortly thereafter depending on how many films need to be watched it might take a week or even more.

General legal conditions:
You have to be of legal adult age to participate in the competition and you will need a suitable passport or visa to enter the United States of America. It will be your own responsibility to obtain a passport and valid visa for the USA. You will need to arrange for your own transport to and from the airports of departure or arrival. By submitting your short film and participating in the competition you automatically agree that your short film (or any excerpts of your film) might be featured in a compilation which will be uploaded online to any online video portal or www.within-temptation.com. By submitting a short film you are confirming that you haven’t infringed any copyright law or any other law with the film footage submitted.

Four years after “The Heart Of Everything”, finally our new studio album “The Unforgiving” is hitting the stores this weekend!

SHARON AND FRIENDS FOR JAPAN


Marc Wesseling, a Dutchman who lives and works in Japan, immediately came up with the idea to support Japan after the horrible earthquake on March 11th: Rebuild Japan.


Dutch radiostation 3FM formed a group of Dutch artists who all have a connection with Japan to record the song “Alles Wat Ik Kan/ All That I Can Do”. The track was part of this morning’s radioshow on 3FM and kicked off the benefit campaign to collect as much money as possible for the Red Cross in Japan.

Sharon was part of this benefit initiative together with Paskal Jakobsen (Blof), Janne Schra, Wouter Hamel, Giovanca, Lange Frans, Candy Dulfer, Benjamin Herman and Hans Dulfer. For more information or donating your contribution to Japan , check 3FM’s website!

The Unforgiving is out, and is rocking the charts of iTunes.

TU entered at number one today in the U.S. and the U.K.! The album is almost released in 48 countries and is ranking in the top 5 in many major markets with further number ones in France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, The Netherlands, Portugal and Switzerland.

J'ai reçu The Unforgiving et... je voudrais pas vous influencer, tout dépend des goûts. Disons que les amateurs de pop rock vont se régaler, les autres p-e un peu moins. Je trouve l'album agréable à écouter, mais ce n'est pas mon préféré de WT. Je viens de mettre en ligne une chronique de l'album, pour ceux que ça intéresse.

Vanwege Den Adels ongeplande derde zwangerschap stelde Within Temptation zijn tournee uit. De Nederlandse band zou dit voorjaar gaan toeren, maar staat nu pas vanaf augustus weer op de planken.
Den Adel wilde niet hoogzwanger optreden, onder meer omdat ze tijdens haar eerdere zwangerschappen te maken kreeg met complicaties.
