FR : Le groupe a été formé par Arjen Lucassen (NL), qui a choisi de sélectionner des musiciens relativement peu connus, à l'exception de Marcela Bovio, qui avait participé à l'album d'Ayreon, The Human Equation. Le groupe réalise une première tournée qui passe par Paris le 2 février 2006, la deuxième tournée s'achève brusquement début 2007 lorsque les membres mexicains du groupe sont refoulés par les services d'immigration britanniques. Les derniers concerts sont donc annulés et leur ultime concert a eu lieu à Dordrecht le 26 janvier 2007. Arjen et Alejandro annoncent ensuite quitter le groupe pour se consacrer à d'autres projets.

EN : Stream of Passion is a progressive metal band with symphonic metal and gothic metal influences founded by Arjen Anthony Lucassen (NL) and Marcela Bovio (Mexico). Because the musicians in the band lived thousands of miles apart, Lucassen composed the group's debut album, Embrace the Storm, over the Internet. It was released on October 24, 2005 through InsideOut Music. With the exception of vocalist Marcela Bovio, who had appeared on Ayreon's album The Human Equation, Lucassen selected little-known musicians to form this band. He finally left the band in 2007, to make them continue their own career as he had planned since the creation. In August 2008, it was announced that Stream of Passion has signed to Napalm Records, with Lucassen no longer a part of the band. They have since released their second studio album The Flame Within through Napalm Records.They have played some of the songs that are from the new album live. The band released their third studio album, Darker Days, in June.
