Sweden's AMARANTHE have gone from zero to a sensation in the metal world
in just months time; supporting KAMELOT on tour in Europe right after
the release of their debut album, playing Japan several times in 2011,
including the mighty LOUDPARK festival and charting high on several
national album charts, AMARANTHE could make even seasoned metal veterans
green with envy.

Sporting a line-up spearheaded by a unique combination of three
singers, AMARANTHE are instantly recognizable both in recording and at
one of their spectacular live shows. The music fuses the most cutting
edge of melodic metal with immediate and catchy choruses that will leave
you humming for days.

AMARANTHE will finish up their hugely successful debuting year
with a massive tour with Gothenburg metal legends HAMMERFALL, which will
take them to every corner of the European continent, with a duration of
almost two months. A Special Edition rerelease of their debut album is
also scheduled for fall 2011, which will feature heaps of bonus content,
including new songs, tour documentaries, behind the scenes footage and
much more!

Amaranthe est un groupe de Death mélodique originaire de Suède et du Danemark. Formé en 2008 par Jake E (ex-Dream Evil) et Olof Mörck (Dragonland, Nightrage) sous le nom de Avalanche, le nouveau projet des membres fondateurs prends vraiment forme quand la chanteuse Elyze Ryd, le chanteur Andy Solveström ainsi que le batteur Morten Løwe Sørensen les rejoignent par la suite.

En 2008 le groupe sort une première Demo de 4 titres sur son myspace :Leave Everything Behind sous le nom de groupe Avalanche.

En 2009 le groupe change de nom pour devenir Amaranthe dans un cadre légal (le nom de groupe Avalanche est déja utilisé par un autre groupe). A partir de là commence le travail des membres qui enregistrera le premier album éponyme du groupe qui sortira le 13 avril 2011.

Le premier extrait de leur album éponyme : "Hunger" dispose d'un clip video visible sur les sites de video Youtube et Dailymotion.
