Nereids est groupe de métal Symphonique à voix lyrique/opéra, originaire des
Bouches-du-Rhône (13), né d'une rencontre via Internet. Six mois après
avoir quitté son premier groupe (Torments Of Lyra) et après en avoir
essayé d'autres, Julie s'est mise à la recherche de musiciens pour créer
son propre groupe. Elle fait la connaissance de Richard du projet Blowback.
Mais
elle voulait créer son propre groupe, alors en parallèle elle
poursuivit ses recherches, jusqu'au jour où Jérôme, guitariste,
intéressé par son annonce, l'a contacté via Internet. Étant compositeur,
il lui a envoyé quelques maquettes, et là, ça a été comme un coup de
foudre !
Une rencontre pour
un essai s'est donc imposée, et c'est tous les deux qu'ils ont montés
le groupe en octobre 2010. Par la suite, Bernie, guitariste, qui connaît
Richard de Blowback, les a rejoint, puis c'était au tour de Jean-Luc,
bassiste, qui vient de Bastia et qui avait été contacté une première
fois par Jérôme, puis par Julie. Enfin, en février 2011, Manu, batteur,
qui était une connaissance de Bernie et l'ancien batteur du projet
Blowback, a également rejoint le groupe.

Nereids is symphonic metal band lyric voice/opera, originating in the
Bouches-du-Rhone (13), born of a meeting over the Internet. Six months
after leaving his first band (Torments Of Lyra) and after having tried
other, Julie began looking for musicians to create his own group. She
meets Richard Blowback project. But she wanted to create his own group,
while in parallel it continued his research until the day Jerome, a
guitarist interested in his property, was contacted via the Internet. As
a composer, he sent him some demos, and there it was like a
thunderbolt! A meeting for a trial was therefore imposed, and that they
both have mounted the group in October 2010. Thereafter, Bernie, a
guitarist who knows Richard Blowback, joined them, then it was the turn
of Jean-Luc, bassist, comes from Bastia, who had been contacted once by
Jerome, by then Julie. Finally, in February 2011, Manu, a drummer who
was an acquaintance of Bernie and the former drummer of Blowback
project, has also joined the group.
